I see you, Mama

You want to take care of yourself and your family using herbs and natural remedies.

You’ve taken some classes, read books, and are wondering how exactly to stock your home apothecary so that you’re ready when you need it.

But now what?

  • Where do I buy quality herbs?

  • What herbs do I actually need to have on hand?

  • How do I store and organize my herbs?

Or maybe you’ve already started building your herbal apothecary, only to realize:

  • Everything is a jumbled mess, unlabed, and you have no idea where anything is

  • You’ve wasted money on buying every single herb in the book- only to realize that you don’t ever use the majority of what you purchased.

Imagine knowing exactly which herbs to have in your home apothecary, organized and ready for when you need them?

It’s easier than you think!

Hi, I'm Rachel Silves

I am a Registered Herbal Therapist (RHT) through the British Columbia Herbalists Association (yep, even though I’m American!) and I can’t wait to get to know you and support you on your herbal journey.

My passion is teaching moms to use herbs and essential oils with confidence, so they can take care of themselves and their families.

On a personal note, I’m a science geek (yes, I took advanced genetics in college for fun), a proud leftie (in fact, my husband and both kids are lefties too), and an avid reader of romantasy books (it’s like the romance and fantasy genre had a baby) and read over 100 books in 2023!

“Rachel at Seeds and Stalks is awesome. She takes the time to listen to your needs and develop a plan together.”

“Rachel is a great herbalist, she really listens to your concerns and is committed to getting your health goals met through various herbal remedies. But also recommends other natural methods you can use to become more in tune with your body. She is amazing! Highly recommended”

Frequently Asked Questions

You’ve got questions, I’ve got answers!

Are herbs safe?

By in large, yes, herbs are generally safe and have been used for thousands of years. However, each herb has a different safety profile, contains different chemical constituents, and has different contraindications.

Have you heard the saying “the dose makes the poison?” This is an important concept to remember when using herbs, food, pharmaceuticals, or other substances. I have completed numerous courses on safety, materia medica (using herbs), and pharmacology to make sure that I am well skilled in using herbs safely as well as appropriate dosage ranges.

What is included in the course?

This course includes 3 modules with 15 lessons. Most lessons include audio and worksheets. The course also includes extras like printable lables and a shopping guide.

Will this course teach me how to use herbs?

No. This course teaches you how to properly store and organize your herbs at home as well as determine which herbs to have on hand in your apothecary.

If you are interested in learning how to use herbs to support you and your family, please check out my other offerings at:
